The Indonesian Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) is actively promoting balanced industrial development across the country, extending its focus beyond Java Island. This strategic move aims to ensure inclusive economic growth, aligning with the vision of a more centralized Indonesia. The Ministry's Industrial Standardization and Industrial Services Policy Agency (BSKJI) plays a key role by providing technical services to industries, including standardization, Industry 4.0 implementation, and green industry initiatives. The Head of BSKJI, Doddy Rahadi, emphasized the importance of enhancing industrial competitiveness through these comprehensive services.
To achieve these goals, BSKJI is harnessing its Technical Implementation Units (UPTs) across 11 major centers and 13 Standardization and Industrial Services Centers. A recent event organized by the Balai Besar Standardization and Industrial Services Center for Plantation, Minerals, Metals, and Maritime (BBSPJIHPMM) celebrated customer engagement and the launch of the agency's Public Service Agency (BLU). This initiative exemplifies Kemenperin's commitment to bolstering BBSPJIHPMM's ability to serve industries, fostering collaborations, and improving service quality. Shinta Virdhian, Chief of BBSPJIHPMM, highlighted the agency's dedication to innovation-driven industrial services, supported by various stakeholder partnerships and a growing range of service offerings, including Green Industry and Industrial Technology Optimization.
