The realization of investment in Pekanbaru for the second quarter reached IDR 829 billion with a total of 1,175 projects recorded. This investment realization was reported by the Secretary of the One-Stop Integrated Services and Investment Office (DPMPTSP) of Pekanbaru. Regarding the release of data for the second quarter (April to June) provided by DPMPTSP of Riau Province, the investment realization for this period amounted to IDR 829,373,120,000, consisting of both domestic investment (PMDN) and foreign direct investment (PMA), totaling 1,175 projects. Meanwhile, the number of employed Indonesian workers was 3,036 people, and there were no foreign workers. The realization of domestic investment (PMDN) in Pekanbaru for the second quarter amounted to IDR 750,468,400,000 with a total of 1,102 projects and 2,947 employed Indonesian workers.
On the other hand, the total investment realization in Pekanbaru, combining PMDN and PMA from January to June 2023, reached IDR 3,925,554,680,000 with a total of 2,262 projects. The number of employed Indonesian workers was 5,934, with one foreign worker. PMDN from January to June amounted to IDR 3,708,466,800,000 with a total of 2,125 projects, employing 5,811 Indonesian workers, and one foreign worker. As for PMA, the realization for the second quarter, considering January to June 2023, amounted to IDR 217,087,880,000 with 123 employed foreign workers. Speaking about sectors as a whole, as reported by DPMPTSP of Riau Province, they include primary sectors such as food crops, plantations, livestock, fisheries, forestry, and mining. Secondary sectors encompass textile industries, wood industries, food industries, and more. Tertiary sectors consist of construction, hotels, restaurants, housing, and industrial zones.
