According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), Indonesia ranks sixth in copper mining production, with a total output of 920 thousand tons in 2022. The country's copper ore exports also saw significant growth of 40.35% in 2022 compared to the previous year, reaching 3.1 million tons and reaching a historical high export value of USD 9.24 billion.

Under its subsidiary, PT Amman Mineral Nusa Tenggara, the company operates copper and gold mines in Batu Hijau, West Sumbawa Regency, West Nusa Tenggara. The mines yielded approximately 8.78 billion pounds of copper and 8.7 million ounces of gold in 2020. Additionally, the company has planned to enter Phase 8, extending the mine's lifespan until 2030. Furthermore, AMMN is exploring the Elang project, one of the world's largest copper and gold reserves, which is expected to commence operations in 2031. The company's strategic endeavors aim to further solidify Indonesia's significance in the global copper market.
