The Minister of Investment and Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM), Bahlil Lahadalia, emphasized the crucial role of investment in creating new economic growth areas. He praised the efforts of the Association of Indonesian Regency Governments (Apkasi) in holding the Apkasi Otonomi Expo (AOE) 2023, which aims to encourage the establishment of new economic growth areas.
During the closing ceremony of AOE 2023, Bahlil highlighted the positive development of investments in Indonesia, which has shown continuous improvement from previous years. He stated that the government has set a target of achieving Rp1.4 quadrillion in investment realization by the end of 2023, and they have already achieved Rp678.6 trillion or 58.5% of the target. Bahlil emphasized that investment is an essential instrument for creating new economic growth areas and increasing regional revenues.
Furthermore, Bahlil stressed the importance of managing investments well, as it plays a significant role in supporting the creation of new economic growth areas and boosting regional revenues. He also suggested that the Apkasi Otonomi Expo can be a platform to foster new entrepreneurs and encourage the younger generation to become entrepreneurs, contributing to the nation's economic sovereignty. The event involved 172 participants from various government agencies, private sectors, and media, and attracted around 10,000 visitors, showcasing the potential of investment and economic development in the region.
