The Ministry of Trade in collaboration with the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia (KBRI) in Singapore and Bank Indonesia (BI), presents the Indonesian Pavilion showcasing nine micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) at the Singapore International Jewelry Expo 2023. Jewelry products are one of the strategic commodities that have played a significant role in contributing to Indonesia's export surplus in the past two years. Last year, jewelry product exports achieved a record export value of USD 6.3 billion, representing a growth of 7.12% compared to the previous year. Of the jewelry export value, more than 20.4% was exported to Singapore, making it the second-largest destination for Indonesian jewelry exports.
The Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Singapore, stated that Indonesia has successfully developed a comprehensive roadmap for exporting industrial products in recent years, with a particular focus on downstream policies. Singapore is Indonesia's most important partner in the region for jewelry products. 'One of the flagship products resulting from these policies is jewelry, and Singapore is Indonesia's crucial partner in this region. The Indonesian Pavilion at the Singapore International Jewelry Expo 2023 provides a platform for Indonesian MSMEs to expand their market and establish partnerships with jewelry industry players in Singapore. Through this participation, it is expected to enhance the export value of Indonesian jewelry products and strengthen the bilateral relationship between Indonesia and Singapore in this sector. The exhibition also serves as a platform to promote the expertise and beauty of Indonesian jewelry to visitors, as well as broaden insights and business opportunities for Indonesian jewelry industry players.
