The 17th International Manufacturing Machinery, Equipment, Materials and Services Exhibition - Manufacturing Surabaya 2023 took place from July 12th to 15th, 2023. As the organizer, PT Pamerindo Indonesia presented a comprehensive manufacturing sector exhibition accompanied by a practical platform to accommodate various information for key industry players in the manufacturing sector in the East Java region. The exhibition involved 253 leading manufacturing companies ready to showcase various products and solutions with the latest technology at the Grand City Convention & Exhibition Center in Surabaya. According to kemenperin.go.id, amidst the decline in raw material imports, the manufacturing industry has become the largest contributor to the national export value achievement during the January-April period, amounting to USD 60.63 billion. The manufacturing sector continues to implement strategic measures to maintain market share and drive export growth and domestic market domination.
Event Director of PT Pamerindo Indonesia, stated that the 17th edition of the manufacturing exhibition is one of Pamerindo's efforts to support the government in maintaining the market in the sector, particularly in building an investment climate. Therefore, the majority of exhibitors this time focus on technology that can support manufacturing production while also contributing to building Society 5.0 through lean manufacturing. This year, the East Java Provincial Government will take steps to drive economic growth amidst predictions of global economic impacts. The support primarily focuses on the manufacturing sector, which contributes the highest economic growth in East Java. The Head of the Industry and Trade Agency of East Java Province, stated that East Java is promoting increased investment and efforts to create downstream products from natural resources.
