Through collaboration, Balikpapan Customs Office, together with the Fisheries Quality Control and Safety Quarantine Center (BKIPM) of Balikpapan, successfully realized the inaugural export of 88 kg of live crabs belonging to CV Bone Putra Mandiri. The export took place on Monday, June 26, 2023, destined for the Singapore market. The Head of Counseling and Information Services Section of Balikpapan Customs Office, explained that in realizing this export, Balikpapan Customs Office utilized the export clinic scheme that had been established through the Mayor of Balikpapan's Decree Number 188.45-455/2021 regarding the Formation of the Balikpapan Export Clinic Team. The Export Clinic Team is a collaboration of several government agencies aimed at providing one-stop services to business actors in the development of exports.
CV Bone Putra Mandiri is one of the MSMEs supported by Balikpapan Customs Office and Fisheries Quality Control and Safety Quarantine Center (BKIPM) Balikpapan. Balikpapan Customs Office conducted several assistance activities, including guidance in export customs management, assistance in coordinating with the Directorate General of Taxes, Fisheries Quality Control and Safety Quarantine Center (BKIPM) Balikpapan, and logistics service providers, assistance in filling out export documents, as well as assistance in the customs clearance process and loading onto transport vehicles for export. Balikpapan Customs Office is committed to supporting the successful export of MSMEs, both in large and small quantities. The Office expressed hope that the cooperation and synergy among the agencies involved in the Balikpapan Export Clinic Team will continue to be maintained, so that it can help more MSMEs in Balikpapan succeed in exporting and penetrate the international market.
