Minister of Trade called on all stakeholders to strengthen cooperation in increasing exports of Indonesian products. Boosting exports of Indonesian products is an effort that must be jointly guarded. The Ministry of Trade is committed to promoting the increase of Indonesian product exports, including micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). The Ministry targets a potential transaction value of USD 11 billion for the 38th Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI), representing a 10% increase from TEI 37 in 2022. The key to increasing exports is cooperation. The 38th TEI will carry the theme 'Sustainable Trade for Global Economic Resilience'. The 38th TEI will be held in a hybrid format. The face-to-face exhibition will take place from October 18 to October 22, 2023, at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) BSD. Meanwhile, the virtual exhibition will be held from October 18 to December 18, 2023, accessible through http://www.tradexpoindonesia.com/.
In the 38th TEI, leading export products will be showcased in seven product zones. These zones include Food & Beverages; Home Living; Digital & Services; Beauty & Personal Care; Chemical, Energy & Industrial Products; Medical Equipment & Healthcare; and Fashion, Textile & Accessories. The 38th TEI also targets 1,200 exhibition participants, 25,000 face-to-face exhibition visitors, and 33,000 virtual visitors. In the 38th TEI, the Ministry of Trade facilitates more opportunities for Indonesian exporters to meet potential foreign buyers. There will be activities such as business matching, business counseling, and international seminars discussing trade policies and market trends. The Minister also encourages exporters to explore potential market openings in non-traditional export destinations to open markets in the South Asian, Middle Eastern, and African regions.
