The National Business Clinic has exported micro, small, and medium-sized enterprise (MSME) products from Sidoarjo to Malaysia. The departure took place at the National Business Clinic Office located in Kahuripan Nirwana Village, Sidoarjo. The Director of Operations at the National Business Clinic stated that the export is a test of the local products from Sidoarjo in the international market. This is a follow-up to the product curation technical guidance (Bimtek) conducted by the Development Division of the Sidoarjo Cooperative and Micro Business Office. Both parties have also signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) between the National Business Clinic and Malaysian entrepreneurs. The MSME test market products are planned to be exported to Japan and Turkey in the next phase. However, the type of products will differ from the test market export to Malaysia. The export to Malaysia is a manifestation of the synergy between the Ministry of Trade through the Surabaya Export Center and the National Business Clinic as a strategic partner of the Sidoarjo Cooperative and Micro Business Office.

Having legalities, maintaining quality, improving capacity, and maintaining consistency is very important in order to enter the global market. By doing so, MSMEs can satisfy consumers and gain competitiveness in the global market. Furthermore, it was revealed that MSME actors whose products pass the curation process will continue to receive guidance. One of the ongoing collaborations is with the Juanda Customs and Excise Supervision and Service Office (KPPBC) in creating a PEB (Customs Registration Number) account. This will enable independent exports in the future. The Sidoarjo Cooperative and Micro Business Office, added that they will continue to explore the potential of products and commodities in the region for export. Particularly, they aim to add economic value to derivative products made from raw materials. The Sidoarjo Regency is committed to supporting micro business actors in expanding their marketing networks and exporting products abroad. The MSME products exported to Malaysia on this occasion include packaged sambal (chili paste), tempeh chips, and traditional herbal powders.
