The Investment and Integrated Licensing Service Agency (DPMPTSP) of Cirebon Regency has recorded that investment realization in the region during the first semester of 2023 reached IDR 549.7 billion. Based on the information gathered, out of the IDR 549.7 billion investment realization in the first semester of 2023, IDR 287 billion came from foreign direct investment (PMA) and IDR 262.7 billion from domestic investment (PMDN). Previously, the number of foreign direct investments far exceeded domestic investments. But now, they are nearly balanced. It means that domestic investors are starting to consider Cirebon Regency," said the Head of DPMPTSP of Cirebon Regency. This year, Cirebon Regency targets investment realization of IDR 2.9 trillion.
The local government once again promises ease and comfort for investors. They are optimistic about achieving the target of IDR 2.9 trillion in investment realization. The Head of DPMPTSP of Cirebon Regency stated that investment realization in Cirebon Regency in 2022 reached IDR 2.8 trillion, surpassing the target of IDR 2.67 trillion. In recent years, investment realization in Cirebon Regency has often exceeded the target. Therefore, the Agency optimistic about surpassing the target again this year. According to the Head of DPMPTSP of Cirebon Regency, to attract investor interest, it is not only about the availability of a workforce, low minimum wages, and land availability. Comfort and conducive conditions also play a significant role. If all the requirements are met, both foreign and domestic investors will be interested. Hopefully, the 2023 target will be achieved, especially now that the public activity restrictions have been lifted. The Agency also believe the investment climate will improve.
