The "Indonesian Days" exhibition held in Budapest, Hungary, at Kastil Vajdahunyad from June 17 to 18, 2023, recorded a total transaction value of USD 2.67 million, equivalent to around IDR 40.4 billion. The exhibition showcased various Indonesian products, with coffee being the most popular commodity, contributing to more than 93% of the total potential transactions. The event received significant positive appreciation from visitors, exhibitors, and business players in Hungary, with satisfactory retail transactions and potential business agreements (business matching) and memorandum of understandings (MoU) signings.
The "Indonesian Days" is an annual event aimed at promoting Indonesian products through exhibitions and retail displays. This year, it was organized in collaboration with the Indonesian Embassy in Budapest and Bank Indonesia. The exhibition not only featured retail activities but also facilitated meetings between Indonesian exporters and Hungarian distributor partners. The strategic location of Hungary in Central and Eastern Europe makes it a crucial trading hub for Indonesia to access other European markets.
Additionally, the event featured various activities such as the "Festival Kopi Indonesia" (Indonesian Coffee Festival), showcasing cupping, tasting, seminars, and business meetings. This festival served as a platform for Indonesian coffee producers to promote their products and expand their reach in the European market. The participation of Indonesian coffee producers in the Budapest Coffee Festival before the World of Coffee (WOC) event in Athens provided an opportunity to attract a broader audience in Europe and its surroundings.
