The Ministry of Agriculture continues to strive for increased investments in the agricultural sector. One of the efforts is the preparation of a Ministerial Regulation on Integrated Agricultural Licensing Services (P3T). This endeavor is necessary to support deregulation and facilitate the agricultural licensing system. According to the Secretary-General of Ministry of Agriculture, stated that the upcoming Ministerial Regulation is an urgent need to drive investments in the agricultural sector, both domestic and foreign. It was also emphasized that Indonesia has immense potential for developing and meeting global food needs. Therefore, it presents a significant opportunity for investors to allocate their capital. This is the directive of the Minister of Agriculture to consistently prioritize and focus on this, as the substantial potential in the agricultural sector creates a great opportunity for investors to invest, whether domestic or foreign. Previously, the Ministry of Agriculture had the Ministerial Regulation No. 41 of 2017 on Electronic Agricultural Licensing Services. However, with the passage of time and the development of regulations in the licensing field, revisions and adjustments to the 2017 Ministerial Regulation are necessary.
The Ministry also explained that the integrated service improvements in P3T cover Business Licensing (PB) and Business Licensing to Support Business Activities or PB UMKU. Furthermore, non-business licenses will be granted through in-depth scrutiny, PB and PB-UMKU Non-Transactional through Government Regulation No. 5 of 2021. The Ministry together with relevant stakeholders, remains focused on the preparation of the draft Ministerial Regulation on integrated agricultural licensing services to enhance government services in the agricultural sector.
