Regent of Mojokerto, Ikfina Fahmawati, has sent off a shipment of 25 tons of processed dried coconut worth USD 24,000 to Qatar, marking a significant milestone for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Mojokerto Regency. The export is expected to serve as a catalyst for the growth of other SMEs in the region. The Dessicated Coconut product, produced by CV HINDIANINDO, was selected through the Export Coaching Program (ECP) of the Indonesian Ministry of Trade in 2023.

The departure ceremony took place at the premises of PT Ajinomoto in Jetis, Mojokerto Regency, East Java, on Monday, June 26, 2023. Initially, the dried coconut product was intended for the local market, but with the ECP assistance, it has now met the international specifications required for global markets. Regent of Mojokerto, Ikfina Fahmawati, expressed her appreciation for the ECP and believes that this export opportunity showcases the capability of SMEs in Mojokerto to produce export commodities. The local government is committed to creating more opportunities for other SMEs to enter the export market by providing support and guidance, focusing on meeting the necessary documentation requirements and ensuring product quality.

The ECP is part of the Ministry of Trade's efforts to support and facilitate SMEs in accessing global markets. The program provides comprehensive assistance, from preparation to finding buyers and handling documentation. The head of the Export Skills Development and Trade Services Center at the Ministry of Trade, Wasianto, emphasized the ministry's commitment to supporting SMEs in penetrating the export market and expanding their reach. The ECP is a tangible program that aims to empower SMEs and enable their participation in the export sector.
