The aroma of specialty Indonesian coffee captivated visitors at the World of Coffee (WoC) exhibition in Athens, Greece. Over the course of three days, the Indonesian Pavilion successfully recorded potential transactions amounting to USD 20.36 million. The Indonesian Pavilion presented a variety of coffee from different regions, including Gayo, Sumatra, Java, Bali, and Toraja. One of the highlights was the coffee cupping activities that convinced the visitors. From these coffee presentations, the generated potential transactions reached more than USD 20.36 million. This is a proud achievement for the ten Indonesian coffee exporters at the Indonesian Pavilion, as stated by the Director of Primary Product Export Development. Indonesia's participation in WoC Europe has been ongoing since 2015. The consistent promotion of specialty Indonesian coffee through international exhibitions is evidence of the government's support in boosting the export value of coffee products worldwide.
Not only did specialty Arabica coffee from Indonesia impress the visitors, but Indonesian Robusta coffee also garnered interest from those who visited the Indonesian Pavilion. The WoC Athens event was utilized by coffee producers and business players to showcase the distinctiveness of Indonesian Robusta coffee, which plays a vital role in increasing Indonesia's coffee exports worldwide. The success of the Indonesian Pavilion at WoC Athens will be followed by the development of domestic product potential. The Ministry of Trade, through the Directorate General of National Export Development, is also involved in encouraging producers and business players to innovate and develop Indonesian coffee products, making them even more beloved by coffee enthusiasts worldwide. In the global coffee exhibition, visitors are invited to explore the various flavors of Indonesian coffee, each with its unique character based on several Geographical Indications. The Indonesian Pavilion also promotes the largest trade exhibition in Indonesia, Trade Expo Indonesia.
