The Capital City Authority of Nusantara has initiated the dissemination and assistance program for local businesses in the Nusantara Capital Area (IKN). This activity aims to ensure that the local community does not merely become spectators as IKN becomes more vibrant. The community has responded positively and actively participated in the "Socialization and Assistance for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs)" event held at the Zero Point of Nusantara. Participants came from various regions in East Kalimantan, such as Penajam Paser Utara (PPU), Kutai Kartanegara, Kutai Barat, Samarinda, and Balikpapan. During the event, participants not only received guidance from various business practitioners on breaking into the retail and export markets, but they also had the opportunity to showcase their locally produced MSME products. The five best local products will be exhibited at an expo to be held in Jakarta.
The Capital City Authority of Nusantara also stated that they will provide a place for local entrepreneurs to sell their products in IKN. Head of Capital City Authority of Nusantara emphasized that Capital City Authority of Nusantara is committed to fostering the growth of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in IKN. Furthermore, according to Government Regulation No.12 of 2023, incentives and business facilitation in IKN have been prepared, including incentives for MSMEs. This can be motivating factors for all of the MSMEs to grow and reach international market. It was also encouraged for the participants to utilize digital technology. Regarding halal certification assistance, the Bina Insani Gemilang Foundation Indonesia will facilitate both self-declaration and regular certification. Furthermore, there will be incentives in the form of subsidies for equipment provided to MSMEs under the guidance of IKN, along with access to training provided by the Ministry of Industry.
