Indonesia aims to solidify its position as a global Muslim fashion hub with the launch of Jakarta Muslim Fashion Week (JMFW) 2024. The event, themed "Discover Indonesian Modest Fashion Excellence," will take place from October 19 to 21, 2023, at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) BSD in Tangerang. JMFW serves as a platform to showcase the best of Indonesian modest fashion and hopes to set trends in the global Muslim fashion industry. The government sees JMFW as a priority program to develop and promote Indonesian modest fashion on a global scale.

Minister of Trade Zulkifli Hasan believes that JMFW 2024 can establish Indonesia as a trendsetter in global modest fashion. The event aims to invite international buyers to experience the exceptional Indonesian modest fashion, featuring diverse designs, patterns, colors, and cultural influences. The government intends to foster collaboration between the modest fashion industry and related sectors, both domestically and internationally, to boost exports and strengthen the industry. The previous edition, JMFW 2023, achieved success with trade transactions amounting to around IDR 206.6 billion from 16 countries, and the government is optimistic that Indonesian modest fashion can inspire and dominate the global market.
