PT Pupuk Kalimantan Timur showcased handicraft products from MSMEs (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) at the UMKM Expo 2023 Digital Market (PaDi). This initiative aims to enhance the competitiveness and market opportunities for local MSMEs, as the development of MSMEs is one of the focal points in the implementation of PT Pupuk Kaltim's corporate social and environmental responsibility (CSER). It was also presented that Batik Kuntul Perak and Batik Beras Basah as local MSME products from Bontang, Kaltim, which have obtained the Indonesian National Standardization Agency (BSN) Product Certificate (SPPT SNI). These products have been recognized nationally for their quality.
Moreover, these batik products have received positive responses from various groups during several international events. This serves as proof that the authentic creative products from Bontang can compete and excel at the international level. Pupuk Kaltim is actively promoting the development of potential and expanding opportunities for affiliated MSMEs to enter the global market. Pupuk Kaltim facilitated three supported handicraft businesses at the UMKM Digital Market (PaDi UMKM) Expo 2023, namely Batik Kuntul Perak and Batik Beras Basah from Bontang, as well as Kain Sasirangan from South Kalimantan. They were all showcased together in the BUMN House pavilion alongside Pupuk Indonesia Group's affiliated partners, demonstrating the harmonization among companies in advancing MSMEs in Indonesia.
