The Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia (KJRI) in Davao recently conducted a working visit to the General Santos International Fish Port in Mindanao to promote economic cooperation between Indonesia and the southern region of the Philippines. The visit aimed to discuss various regulations on fish exports/imports from the Philippines and explore the potential for trade cooperation between General Santos City and North Sulawesi. During the visit, KJRI Davao City observed the fish auction process to gain a clear understanding of the procedures and tuna handling processes, starting from cargo acceptance, inspection, classification, distribution, and packing for export preparation. The exporters and the Head of the General Santos Fish Port expressed their hope for the realization of fish exports from North Sulawesi.
KJRI Davao City also met with Tenpoint Manufacturing Corporation, a reputable importer in General Santos City, who openly expressed their interest in collaborating with Indonesia.
