Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy aims to promote Warung Tegal (Warteg) which is a Tegal-style food stalls internationally through the Spice Up The World (SUTW) program. The Minister also stated that Warteg would be established in New York, Germany, and meet the high demand in the Middle East, as Tegal City has a strong entrepreneurial spirit. This initiative not only promotes Tegal's cuisine but also creates business opportunities and job prospects for Indonesian citizens.
Not only that providing Spice Up The World Program, The Minister urged the Mayor of Tegal during the Creative District/City (KaTa) event held at the Mayor's Office in Tegal, to promptly conduct the PMK3I (Self-Assessment of Creative District/City) evaluation to identify and develop outstanding local subsectors that can participate in the acceleration program. The evaluation process aims to strengthen the creative economy ecosystem and ensure that creative entrepreneurs benefit from the program. The PMK3I evaluation process is aimed at strengthening the creative economy ecosystem, which needs to be done promptly so that creative economy players can benefit from the program. The Minister also encouraged the government of Tegal City to identify key subsectors within the creative economy, including traditional herbal medicine, culinary ventures, such as Warteg, and seafood processing, and motivate local micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to increase their revenue.
