The Ministry of Trade is committed to providing support and facilities needed by Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) to enhance their production capacity, product quality, and expand their market reach. The presence of Domart as the the first minimarket that exclusively sells Indonesian products and serves Indonesian cuisine in Malaysia is expected to play a significant role in increasing Indonesia's exports to Malaysia. The Minister of Trade expressed his belief that with support and cooperation from all parties, Domart can grow and become a successful and beloved store among the Malaysian community. The Ministry of Trade strongly supports SMEs in contributing to the increase of Indonesia's exports, particularly to Malaysia.
Domart represents not only an achievement but also a significant step forward for the economic growth and cooperation between Indonesia and Malaysia. It also serves as a symbol of collaboration and friendship between the two countries, aiming to introduce and promote Indonesian products, including SME products, to the Malaysian society. Conversely, it is hoped that Domart can serve as a bridge for Indonesian entrepreneurs to enter the Malaysian market. The non-oil and gas exports from Indonesia to Malaysia reached USD 13.6 billion in 2022, showing the strength and potential of the Indonesian market. Malaysia is a highly potential market for Indonesian products due to demographic and geographical similarities and the large Indonesian community residing there.
