Hundreds of pharmaceutical industry stakeholders in Indonesia participated in the Public Service Communication Standard Forum for Accelerating and Strengthening Public Services held at The Margo Hotel in Depok on Monday, June 5, 2023. Organized by the Drug Registration Directorate of the National Agency of Drug and Food Control (BPOM), the event was attended not only by pharmaceutical business actors but also by academics, the Indonesian Ombudsman, civil society organizations, and representatives from the Depok City Government. The BPOM-organized Public Service Communication Standard Forum was well-received by pharmaceutical industry players.
Mimi, a representative from the Pharmaceutical Entrepreneurs Association, stated that forums like this are routinely conducted by BPOM. She explained that pharmaceutical industry players typically provide input regarding service regulations at BPOM through such events. Mimi acknowledged significant improvements in BPOM's services compared to the past, emphasizing the remarkable progress made in the Directorate of Drug Registration, which has transitioned from manual to digital processes.
Mimi expressed hope that the aspirations of pharmaceutical industry players would be accommodated by BPOM in order to achieve the best possible service. Nando, a representative from the International Pharmaceutical Manufacturer Group, added that this event is beneficial for the development of the pharmaceutical industry in Indonesia. Nando acknowledged the significant improvements made in BPOM, particularly in the Directorate of Drug Registration, based on the feedback provided by the industry over the years. He also highlighted the high satisfaction rating of 87 percent for the performance of the Directorate of Drug Registration, based on a public survey.
