The Ministry of Trade Republic of Indonesia conducted a visit to the mattress and sofa manufacturing facility of Yukata Factory in Tangerang Regency. The inspection of the mattress and sofa factory was carried out by Vice Minister of Trade of Indonesia. The Ministry of Trade of Indonesia stated that they would collaborate with the Tangerang Regency Government to support Yukata products by providing access to export them to foreign markets. The reason behind this collaboration is that the mattress and sofa production, with its various innovations, has met the eligibility standards to expand sales to international markets.
The Vice Minister also explained that the Ministry of Trade of Indonesia has 46 trade representatives stationed in various countries worldwide. Eventually, these trade representatives will help promote the mattress and sofa products from Yukata Factory in the international market. The Ministry of Trade of Indonesia will continue to market superior quality local products to compete with other countries, especially after many businesses, from large enterprises to micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), have been affected and forced to close due to the COVID-19 pandemic. One of the priorities of Ministry of Trade is to assisting MSMEs, providing them with training and guidance, in collaboration with local governments, local products for export to other countries. The Ministry of Trade of Indonesia will continue to directly control business products in Tangerang to be marketed abroad. The Banten Province, particularly Tangerang and Tangerang Selatan City, has numerous local factories capable of competing in terms of quality.
