Minister of Agriculture Syahrul Yasin Limpo recently visited Perwiratama Group, a technology-based food company in Cianjur, West Java. Cecep Muhammad Wahyudin, a technology-based food entrepreneur from Perwiratama Group, expressed support for the Ministry of Agriculture's efforts to increase the productivity of food that can be processed into raw materials for export-ready food.
Cecep emphasized the integration of farming or agriculture with processing as a key focus. They are currently working on integrating each cultivation process with downstream processing to produce ready-to-eat food. Cecep highlighted the importance of aligning products with the market, such as deboning for poultry, beef, and fish, as well as parting and marinating processes. They are actively addressing agricultural system issues through supply chain activation to ensure the efficient distribution of agricultural products.
Minister Syahrul Yasin Limpo's visit aimed to ensure the successful implementation of digitalization in the food sector. He stated that agriculture is a strategic and highly profitable sector, emphasizing the need for serious attention and innovation from farmers and agricultural entrepreneurs to unlock greater economic opportunities.
