KDEI Taipei showcased Indonesian handicraft and furniture products at the GCC 2023 exhibition, generating transactions worth IDR 219 million. The products were tailored to Taiwanese consumers' tastes with Indonesian ethnic touches and showcased various handicraft, home decoration, jewelry, and environmentally friendly furniture products. The idnstore.tw platform was also introduced to facilitate online retail sales of Indonesian products during the exhibition.
Indonesia's leading exports to Taiwan are wood products, which reached an export value of USD 112.34 million from January to March 2023. SMEs from Ngawi, East Java, who produce furniture using Indonesian teak wood, also participated in the exhibition. The GCC 2023 exhibition featured 400 booths, 250 exhibitors, and more than 20,000 attendees.
