Indonesian Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno, urges collaboration among UMKM (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) and Muslim entrepreneurs to create a sharia-based digital economy ecosystem. He stated, "We support start-ups in preparing UMKM to develop their businesses by transforming them into digital marketplaces," in a written statement received in Jakarta on Sunday. The Ministry also aims to implement simple programs, such as the "Stimulus Program for Proud Indonesian Products," which includes training, mentoring, and onboarding by industry players.
Sandiaga also provides tips for young entrepreneurs engaged in UMKM to have a global competitiveness mindset through digital platforms. "The key lies in collaboration and action. Implement these three steps: first, involve the right people who are willing to participate. Second, set goals and communicate your expectations. Third, listen to others and be willing to compromise," he added. Meanwhile, Tito Maulana, the Chairman of the General Association of Sharia Economics (MES) in DKI Jakarta, stated that through collaborative efforts, all parties will become stronger, and Muslim entrepreneurs must understand Sharia economics. He further mentioned that the Muslimtech platform aims to develop and collaborate on efforts that promote and embody Islamic values, with the hope of nurturing righteous Muslim entrepreneurs during the holy month of Ramadan.
