The Indonesian government is optimistic about the country's economy in the following year, with projections that it will grow above 5%. The Assistant Minister to the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Raden Pardede, stated that despite an expected slowdown this year, the economy has much potential to skyrocket economic growth compared to 2023.
However, Raden acknowledged that the 2024 general elections would greatly impact the economy. One of these impacts would be increased consumption during campaign activities. Therefore, Raden stated that if the current growth level reaches 4,9%, thus it will increase in the next year.
