Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Salahudin Uno, appreciates the economic growth of Padang Pariaman District in 2022, which became the best in West Sumatra. He also praises the Regent of Padang Pariaman for leading the district to a speedy recovery post-COVID-19.
Minister Sandiaga Uno emphasizes that the biggest contributor to the economic growth in Padang Pariaman is the MSMEs and the creative economy actors. He thinks it's reasonable for the government to be grateful to the moms who became top leaders in moving the MSMEs and the creative economy.
"I am proud of the Regent of Padang Pariaman and all the moms. Keep up the spirit to move the small and medium enterprises because it will create job opportunities for the people," he said, motivating the participants of the Creative District training, which was dominated by moms from Padang Pariaman District on Friday (03/31) held at the IKK Hall in Padang Pariaman in Parit Malintang.
Furthermore, he motivates them by sharing his experience of starting a business and already employing 30,000 workers from various companies that he owned. Therefore, he strongly desires that MSME actors never stop creating job opportunities with their creative economic programs so that the target of 400,000 job opportunities can be achieved in 2024.
"Congratulations to Padang Pariaman for being included as a Creative District. The national government targets the opening of 400,000 job opportunities in 2024, and it must be fully supported by local governments throughout Indonesia," he added.
The Creative District training that was previously opened by Deputy Regent Rahmang was attended by West Sumatra Vice Governor Audy Joinaldi, Regent of Padang Pariaman Suhatri Bur, Deputy Regent Rahmang, and Secretary of the Regional Secretariat Rudy Repenaldi Rilis. It was also attended by all the heads of OPDs and officials in the Padang Pariaman Government, as well as MSME actors from Padang Pariaman District.
After a day of activities in Padang Pariaman, Minister Sandiaga Uno and Vice Governor Audy had dinner with the Regent of Padang Pariaman at his office in the IKK area of Padang Pariaman in Parit Malintang. They continued with Qiyamul Ramadan, performing Tarawih prayer at the Taqwa Muhammadiyah Mosque in Pakandangan District of Enam Lingkung.
As is known, Padang Pariaman District is the district with the highest economic growth rate, ranked first in West Sumatra, with a growth rate of 6.87%. As a result, the Padang Pariaman Government received an award for economic growth rate from the Governor of West Sumatra some time ago.
