The Lampung Agricultural Quarantine Agency completed certification of 11,650 tons of molasses worth IDR 24 billion, to be exported to the Philippines, Monday (27/3/2023). A Plant Health Certificate or Phytosanitary Certificate (PC), is issued after going through a series of inspections by quarantine officers.
These actions include physical inspection, documents, and inspection of means of transportation, where the molasses is transported using the MV ship. Golden Wafe. According to data from the Indonesia Quarentine Full Automation System (IQFAST) owned by the Agricultural Quarantine Agency, the export trend for molasses has increased.
This is evidenced by the total export volume in 2022 reaching 314,080 tons or IDR 774 billion. Meanwhile, in 2021 it will reach 304,990 tons with an export value of IDR 716 billion.
Head of the Lampung Agricultural Quarantine Center, Donni Muksydayan said, molasses is a derivative product from the sugar cane or beet sugar processing industry, which still contains sugar and organic acids, which have a high sucrose content. "We continue to be committed to accelerating the increase in the number and volume of exports in Lampung," said Donny Muksydayan in his statement, Tuesday (28/3/2023).
The Lampung Agriculture Quarantine Agency is also doing this, in line with a program from the Ministry of Agriculture, namely the movement to triple exports (Gratieks) of agricultural commodities. "With the increase in Indonesia's agricultural exports, especially Lampung, we hope that the welfare of Lampung farmers in general can increase," said Donny Muksydayan
