Bank Indonesia Representative Office for East Kalimantan Province (KPwBI Kaltim) noted that eight new exporters were created from the MSME sector in 2022. Head of KPwBI Kaltim P. Gozali stated that these exporters had managed to record a total transaction value of IDR 6.8 billion through the Export Kaltimpreneurs program. "In order to support sustainable MSME exports, Bank Indonesia is developing coffee, craft and fashion commodities," he said in a written statement, Monday (12/12/2022). He continued, to support the MSME Go Digital target, his party also carried out MSME development through five development areas, namely HR & Institutions, Finance, Production and Marketing. "The use of digitalization in the payment system and financial records helps MSMEs to establish a good track record and credit profile, making it easier for MSMEs to be able to access financing from formal financial institutions," he said. Through the implementation of business matching, said Ricky, there were 158 MSMEs assisted by the East Kalimantan KPwBI who received credit disbursement of more than IDR 2.1 billion and assistance consisting of subsistence MSMEs, tourism and export supporters and producers of volatile food commodities. Meanwhile, he said that Bank Indonesia also provided assistance in order to increase the economic capacity of MSMEs through the Bank Indonesia Social Program (PSBI) in the form of supporting facilities and infrastructure.
