The Archipelago Capital Authority (IKN) said that 21 European Union countries were interested in investing in the IKN project. Previously, the official Instagram account @ikn_id informed that the Head of the Archipelago Capital Authority (OIKN) Bambang Susantono held a meeting with representatives from 21 European Union Countries on November 24. From the meeting, 21 European Union countries expressed interest in investing in the development of the Indonesian Capital City (IKN). Confirmed to the Coordinator of the Information and Communication Team of the IKN Transition Team Sidik Pramono explained that the interest of European Union countries in the development of IKN will be followed up seriously.
"Initial talks will still be continued in more detailed technical terms," said Sidik when contacted by Kontan.co.di, Sunday (4/12). He said the meeting was one of the government's efforts to attract investors to be involved in the development of IKN. The IKN Authority stated that the government is very open to anyone who wants to invest in IKN. The representatives of 21 European Union countries, including ambassadors from Italy, Belgium, Romania, Sweden, Hungary and Poland. Meanwhile from the Archipelago Capital Authority (OIKN) were present the Head of OIKN Bambang Susantono, Deputy Head of OIKN Dhony Rahajoe, and Secretary of OIKN Jaka Santos. "The interest of European Union countries in the development of IKN will be followed up seriously. So that the government's expectation of 80% of funding from investors is fulfilled," Bambang said as quoted from Instagram's statement @ikn_id. Currently, the PUPR Ministry is carrying out massive developments at IKN, starting from the construction of the Presidential Office, Ministry Offices, housing for workers, to roads. This basic infrastructure development is targeted to be completed in 2024.
