The Aceh Culture and Tourism Office (Disbudpar) again held Muslim Fashion Week tonight, Wednesday (2/11). There are 15 local Acehnese designers who will show their creativity to showcase their fashion works by involving 40 Aceh models in the 2022 Muslim Fashion Week event at Blang Padang Square, Banda Aceh City. Kadisbudpar Aceh, Almuniza Kamal, said that Muslim Fashion Week (MFW) 2022 aims to introduce the various works of designers and fashion producers in Aceh through a creative platform in the form of fashion shows. In addition to being a forum for designers, MFW is also a medium for Acehnese models to demonstrate clothing designed by local designers. They will appear with various fashion styles that can attract and captivate Muslim fashion lovers in Tanah Rencong. "This also improves the fashion sense of the Acehnese people. We also want to show various parties that Aceh is capable of becoming a mecca for Muslim fashion, both nationally and internationally," said Almuniza in a press release received by acehkini, Wednesday (2/11) afternoon. He considered, the Muslim fashion business has bright prospects. Moreover, so far the demand for Muslim fashion products by world consumers is increasing. "The recent increase in demand for Muslim clothing should be an opportunity for local fashion designers to innovate and develop new works that match the character of Aceh," he said.
According to Almuniza, Muslim Fashion Week 2022 is considered to be a platform for sharing as well as a 'stepping stone' for Acehnese designers to expand their business marketing network. "The Aceh government will continue to support creative economic actors to develop. Hopefully, this Muslim Fashion Week event can stimulate local designers to be able to compete at the national and international levels," he said. Head of History and Cultural Values of Disbudpar Aceh, Evi Mayasari added, there were three themes of the fashion collection that were displayed at the 2022 Muslim Fashion Week (MFW) event. The three themes consisted of casual street, casual trendy and casual ethnic. "There are 160 fashion designs that will be displayed at MFW 2022, 40 men's clothing and 120 women's clothing. The fashion designs are the work of 15 local Acehnese designers," said Evi. The 15 local Acehnese designers are SayISAL, Ijaa, Epic.Id, LUXEMOM by Ayuharmas, BEYZA by Cut Muliasari, NINAELD, WRD by Wardatuttifla, SARARIZQA, Putripala, Sofia by Cut Sofia, sinthing, Rumoh Syar'i, SALSABILAOCAA, POEL, and Solozerycho. "In the MFW later, the fashion products displayed will be directly marketed by the designers. So, customers can directly access them at the booths that are already available at the event location," said Evi.
