Banten's MSMEs Are Pushed to Penetrate the Korean and Japanese Markets

The Banten Customs Office and Regional Office 14 of Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI) (Persero) Tbk collaborated to support Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to upgrade. This is also an effort to accelerate the recovery of the national economy. The Head of the Banten DJBC Regional Office, Rahmat Subagio, said the importance of collaboration is in marketing MSME products so that they can be export-oriented. "We need a forum that can accommodate the aspirations of MSME actors, this forum unites all units that are engaged in the same mission, namely advancing MSMEs in Banten Province," he said at the BNI BSD 9th Floor Building, Serpong, South Tangerang City (Tangsel), Monday, October 3, 2022. This synergy in the development of MSMEs was realized through a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) which discussed the export potential of Banten MSME products to Japan and Korea. The FGD was held in a Hybrid manner, both offline and online, which was attended by 155 MSMEs.


Rahmat added that support from Customs for MSMEs is one of them in the form of facilities for the Import of Export Destinations for Small and Medium Industries (KITE IKM). "We also provide massive assistance and collaboration to MSMEs to be able to develop their business," said Rahmat. Customs and Excise are also making efforts to find buyers, business matching activities, synergies between agencies, collaboration with banks and cooperation with forwarders. Grace.
