The Indonesia Investment Forum stated that investment opportunities in Indonesia are very promising. This opportunity is supported by the trend of economic growth, the government's aggressive efforts to attract investment, and Indonesia's large population. Christovita Wiloto, Founder & Chairman of the Indonesia Investment Forum, said that Indonesia targets an investment requirement of USD 127 million in 2023, an increase of more than 50% from 2022 of USD 80 million. Indonesia is also supported by a large population of more than 270 million people with a predominantly young population spread over 17,504 islands and Indonesia as one of the countries with the largest economy in the world.
On the other side, Principal & Co-founder of Falcon House Partners, a private equity firm in Southeast Asia, Brian M O'connor said, Indonesia is very important in social, economic and political influence in the world. Indonesia is also categorized as the most stable emerging market, stable in economic growth, GDP, a strong banking system, and controlled inflation. A similar view regarding the attractiveness of investment in Indonesia comes from the Chairman of Great Hill Capital, a Boston-based private equity firm, Thomas J Hayes. According to him, Indonesia's growth is very fast and getting better during the pandemic. This growth is expected to continue for at least the next 5-10 years which being validated by Brian M O'connor who said investors gave a positive view for Indonesia. To expand the scope of investment, the Indonesia Investment Forum will hold a live conference in New York City in September, October, and November 2022.
