The Ministry of Investment has issued 1.8 million business permits through an electronically integrated business licensing system or online single submission (OSS). This was conveyed by Investment Minister Bahlil Lahadalia while accompanying President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) in the event of giving the Business Identification Number (NIB) in Jayapura, Papua. "Until today, OSS has reached almost 1.8 million. In Papua it is still not enough to boost up to 20,000 MSMEs. Our target is to reach 200,000 by the end of the year," Bahlil said virtually, Wednesday (31/8/2022). The activity of providing NIB is indeed an agenda that must be carried out by the Ministry of Investment according to the direction of Jokowi. This is because the provision of NIB is not only focused on large and developing business actors, but also targets MSMEs. Bahlil said there were 2,700 MSMEs present at the event of giving the Business Identification Number (NIB). "Secondly, Mr. President, we report that today's activity is part of a series of 20 regional tours on the orders of the President. We from the Ministry of Investment are not allowed to take care of large (permits), only small ones on your orders. We have to take care of the president," said Bahlil. Jayapura Regency, Papua became the 8th location for the socialization of the provision of NIB for individual UMK actors, after previously being held in Solo, Jakarta, Medan, Banjarbaru, Banyuwangi, Mataram, and Sleman.
