40 Products of Purbalingga Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) Curated for Export to the US

The Purbalingga Regency Government received a visit from the Curator Team for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (UMKM) products from PT Poeri Indonesia accompanied by the Central Java MSME Dinkop, at Pringgitan Pendopo Dipokusumo. They are currently curating MSME products in Purbalingga. Products that pass the curation will have the opportunity to export products to the United States. "We have visited several production sites, samples received will be taken for analysis and for certificates to enter. We are curating again what is in Purbalingga. Hopefully we can get a lot and are ready to export," said the Chair of the Curator Team who is also Director of Management Relations PT Poeri Indonesia, Silvia G Wijaya. The Regent of Purbalingga, Dyah Hayuning Pratiwi, said that the Purbalingga Regency Government pays more attention to the MSME sector considering that this sector is the most resistant to crisis. Various programs are provided, ranging from training facilitation, equipment, capital assistance, packaging, marketing, and so on. "However, we are well aware that if we want to penetrate the international market, we must know what market they want at the moment. Because we must also be able to adapt to the market needed," said the regent.

The Regent also asked the Curator Team to provide input to the SME Dinkop or Dinperindag regarding the market that is currently needed and in demand by the United States. So it will try to be developed in Purbalingga. Meanwhile, Head of the MSME Division of the Purbalingga Cooperative and SME (DinkopUKM) Office, Adi Purwanto, explained that there are 40 MSME products in Purbalingga that are ready to be submitted for curation. Those who have passed include organic straws, palm sugar, pineapple. "The curation process is still in progress, after this there will be a visit to the production site," he said. A visit to the production house to ensure that the product from the manufacturing side has met the desired standard or not. Because the product that passes on the display does not necessarily pass from the side of the production house. "Because this product cannot be made in the traditional way, the cleanliness is lacking, the kitchen is not good, and so on. Because their market is people who care about health," said Adi. The curation process lasted three days, from Thursday (9/6) to Saturday (11/6). Products that pass will also be displayed in an expo which will be held by the ministry and the US Embassy around September. The expo also brought in buyers directly from the United States.
