Minister of Finance (Menkeu) Sri Mulyani Indrawati who is also Secretary of the National Committee for Sharia Economy and Finance (KNEKS) said that the Plenary Meeting of the First Semester KNEKS 2022 which was held today (Monday 30/5), focused on accelerating the implementation of strategic sector programs Islamic economics and finance. In the meeting which was also attended by leaders from 26 Ministries/Agencies as well as Provincial Governments, the Minister of Finance stated that the purpose of holding this plenary meeting was as a means to look at several aspects at once, namely overall economic development, economic/sharia development, and acceleration of implementation. various programs, both priority and regular programs. "We ask for a presentation from the Chief Executive (KNEKS) regarding programs that are very prominent and require cooperation because this cannot be done by one Ministry/Agency alone," said the Minister of Finance at the Djuanda Building on Monday (30/05).
The Minister of Finance said that the development of the halal industrial area is predicted to have a positive impact on the sustainability of the national economic recovery. Therefore, program initiatives are needed both in terms of benefits and various priority facilities to be able to attract economic actors into the halal industrial area. “What are the benefits and what are the advantages so that they (economic actors) can be interested. That needs to be considered,” said the Minister of Finance. Furthermore, what was discussed at the meeting were economic and industrial data, especially on the financing aspect. The Minister of Finance said that the use of information technology needs to be carried out to support the data integration. The Minister of Finance also reminded that the integration and consistency of data on the economy and the financial industry as well as the real sector industry that meets sharia requirements still needs to be coordinated better.
