In July 2023, PT Asuransi Jiwa Generali Indonesia (Generali Indonesia) collaborated with PT Bank Jabar Banten Syariah (Bank BJB Syariah) to target the growing market for Shariah-compliant insurance in Indonesia. Generali Indonesia introduced Pro-Life Jariyah-100, a Shariah-based protection solution, to meet the needs of customers in the regions of West Java, DKI Jakarta, and Banten. The product offers lifetime insurance coverage with flexible payment periods and the option for customers to participate in waqf (Islamic endowment).
The collaboration aims to expand the market for Shariah-compliant insurance, providing added value to Bank BJB Syariah customers and meeting their comprehensive financial needs. Pro-Life Jariyah-100, already approved by Otoritas Jasa Keuangan (OJK), will be marketed through bancassurance channels starting from August 2023. Customers can also access the product through bancassurance specialists at Bank BJB Syariah branches.
