PT Asuransi Jiwa Generali Indonesia (Generali Indonesia) will serve as the official insurance partner for the Borobudur Marathon 2023. This marks the sixth year of collaboration between Generali Indonesia and the international-scale running event, which will take place on November 19, 2023. As part of the Borobudur Marathon 2023, Generali Indonesia will also participate in the Friendship Run event in Bandung, providing education on the importance of life and health protection. As the official insurance partner, Generali Indonesia is prepared to provide protection to 10,000 Borobudur Marathon 2023 participants in the form of life and health coverage in the event of accidents during the race.
This coverage ensures runners' safety and allows them to focus on reaching the finish line without worry. Under the theme "Voice of Unity," Borobudur Marathon encourages mutual inspiration and the promotion of positive initiatives for unity. Generali Indonesia remains committed to raising awareness due to the high number of life and health insurance claims paid out. From January to April 2023, Generali Indonesia has paid a total of IDR 351 billion in claims for over 107,000 cases. In West Java province alone, Generali Indonesia has paid IDR 8.1 billion in claims for more than 2,600 cases during the same period.
