The Nusantara Capital City (IKN) Authority has secured investment commitments totaling around IDR 70 trillion through 65 cooperation agreements with investors, reflecting growing confidence in Indonesia’s new capital development. This progress was highlighted during a regulatory outreach event in Balikpapan that focused on land use contribution mechanisms and streamlined fiscal and customs incentives designed to accelerate investment and provide legal certainty.
Officials emphasized that clear investment frameworks, enhanced incentives, and strengthened coordination with businesses are expected to improve predictability for investors and support the efficient implementation of projects across IKN. Private stakeholders praised the initiatives and reiterated their commitment to contributing to a competitive and sustainable economic ecosystem in the new capital.
