Danantara Initiates Six Strategic Downstreaming Projects Including the People's Livestock Sector

Danantara Indonesia has officially commenced the first phase of construction for six national downstreaming projects with a total investment value of US$7 billion, equivalent to IDR 117.8 trillion. These strategic projects are spread across 13 different locations, covering the energy, minerals, metals, and food security sectors through integrated poultry downstreaming facilities in Malang Regency. The development of this infrastructure is expected to employ more than 6,000 direct workers and provide a tangible economic impact on communities in the surrounding project areas. Through this initiative, Danantara is committed to strengthening the domestic industrial structure and significantly increasing the added value of national commodities throughout 2026.

For business actors and association members, the presence of people's livestock projects is crucial for ensuring a safe and sustainable supply of animal protein for national needs. The government has also prepared substantial financial support, including a fund allocation of approximately IDR 20 trillion and access to People's Business Credit (KUR) financing of up to IDR 50 trillion for farmers. This program is designed to empower village cooperatives and small-scale farmers to be directly involved in the integrated modern food industry value chain. With the right synergy of financing and technology, the people's livestock sector is projected to become a key pillar in supporting the Free Nutritious Meal Program in the future.
