Indonesian Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) have proven their ability to compete internationally, as highlighted by the Trade Ministry’s UMKM BISA Export program, which facilitated 1,217 SMEs across various industries in 2025, generating transaction value of USD 134.87 million through direct global business matching activities. These efforts included 622 sessions that connected Indonesian producers with buyers worldwide, particularly from the UAE, Hungary, Hong Kong, Malaysia, and South Korea, showing strong momentum for diverse export products and increased global recognition of local goods.
The program’s inclusive approach, which also featured thematic business matching for persons with disabilities and Women’s Day events, underscores Indonesia’s commitment to expanding equitable participation in global trade. This inclusive facilitation has enabled producers of food and beverages, plantation goods, furniture, textiles, and fishery products to explore new international opportunities, reinforcing confidence in the competitiveness of Indonesian SMEs on the world stage.
