Indonesia’s Trade Ministry reiterated its firm commitment to bolstering both domestic and international trade amid global market challenges, highlighting proactive policies designed to support local producers and expand export opportunities. During the Indonesia Economic Summit 2026 in Jakarta, Trade Minister Budi Santoso shared priority programs that elevate product competitiveness at home and facilitate broader market access overseas, including business matching initiatives that have enabled local small and medium enterprises to secure stronger retail presence and export readiness.
The ministry’s positive momentum is reflected in its strategic trade agreements and extensive facilitation efforts. Throughout 2025, Indonesia concluded multiple comprehensive trade deals and supported over 1,200 businesses through export-focused programs, resulting in substantial transactions valued in the millions of USD. These achievements underscore Indonesia’s growing trade ecosystem, enhancing global engagement and empowering local enterprises to succeed on the world stage.
