East Java Records Trade Balance Surplus of USD 808 Million Throughout 2025

The Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) reported that East Java's trade balance throughout 2025 successfully recorded a cumulative surplus of USD 808.25 million. This outstanding achievement was driven by very strong export performance, particularly in the manufacturing sector and other flagship non-oil and gas commodities in the region. Despite challenging global economic conditions, East Java demonstrated solid economic resilience by maintaining a positive gap between export and import values. This success serves as a valuable asset for the regional government to continue driving regional economic growth and creating new job opportunities for the wider community.

For business actors and association members, this surplus figure reflects the high international market demand for high-quality products from East Java in 2026. The provincial government is committed to continuing to provide export facilitation and investment ease to maintain the positive trend achieved throughout the entire year. Development focus will be directed toward strengthening industrial downstreaming so that the resulting added value can provide a broader economic impact for the region. With continuous synergy between the government and the private sector, East Java is optimistic about strengthening its position as a major engine of national economic growth in the future.
