This strategic move aims to ensure that the significant spending by Indonesian pilgrims provides a direct economic impact for domestic producers. With the support of easier export facilitation, MSMEs are expected to meet international quality standards to serve millions of pilgrims in the holy land by 2026.

For industry players and association members, this initiative represents a golden opportunity to scale up their businesses sustainably into the global market. The government is also exploring partnerships with catering and retail companies in Saudi Arabia to ensure that Indonesian products have dedicated space there.
