The Director General of Village Economic and Investment Development (PEID), Harlina Sulistyorini, has taken a strategic step to optimize the agricultural potential in the Gunung Kawi slopes, Malang Regency. During her visit, the Director General brought in investors to explore cooperation in developing local flagship commodities, specifically potatoes and sweet potatoes. This initiative aims to increase product value-added through downstream programs, ensuring that farmers' harvests are not only sold as raw materials but also processed into derivative products with higher competitiveness in both national and international markets.
For association members and industry players, this initiative opens broad partnership opportunities between the private sector and local farming communities through the strengthening of village investment ecosystems. The main focus of this collaboration includes providing post-harvest processing infrastructure, product quality standardization, and guaranteed market access.
