Indonesia has expanded its seafood export performance with the shipment of two tons of dried flying fish roe from Makassar, South Sulawesi, to Xiamen, China, via air freight. The export reflects the strong competitiveness of marine products from Takalar, which continue to meet international quality standards and attract solid demand in the global market. The shipment highlights Indonesia’s growing role as a reliable supplier of high-value seafood commodities.
The South Sulawesi Quarantine Office confirmed that all 100 cartons of flying fish roe successfully passed comprehensive inspection and quarantine procedures, ensuring product safety and compliance with destination country requirements. The achievement is expected to strengthen South Sulawesi’s fisheries sector and support regional economic growth, while also encouraging other fisheries businesses to expand production and explore international markets. The export underscores increasing global confidence in Indonesia’s quarantine system and overall trade standards.
