PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk, the company behind the Bango soy sauce brand, has signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) to export its soy sauce to the Netherlands with Dutch importer InterAromat BV through Indonesia’s Rasa Rempah Indonesia (S’RASA) program. The agreed contract value is estimated at USD 120,000 (around IDR 2 billion). The signing was carried out in a hybrid format, with Unilever Indonesia’s Export and Business Development Manager, Yohanes Hendra Setyastanto, joining online and InterAromat BV’s CEO, Suryo Tutuko, present in person.
The collaboration results from a series of business matching activities facilitated by Indonesia’s Ministry of Trade (Kemendag) on January 8, 2026, and December 23, 2025. According to the Director General of National Export Development at Kemendag, Fajarini Puntodewi, this agreement is a strategic step to strengthen Indonesian gastronomy products in international markets and encourage increased soy sauce exports to Europe. Puntodewi also said the partnership reflects the ministry’s commitment to helping local products become more competitive and beloved by consumers worldwide, and that Indonesian soy sauce has unique advantages according to market research by InterAromat BV.
