Banyuwangi Regency has recorded a remarkable export performance throughout 2025, with total value reaching USD 232 million, or approximately IDR 3.9 trillion. This figure represents an 18.33% year-on-year increase compared to the previous year's achievement of USD 196 million. According to Regent Ipuk Fiestiandani, Banyuwangi’s superior products have now reached 80 destination countries across Asia, Africa, Europe, America, and Australia. This significant growth underscores the rising competitiveness of local commodities and the expanding reach of the regency’s international market networks.
The fisheries sector, particularly canned fish, remains the primary driver of this export surge, with major contributions from industrial players like PT Pacific Harvest in Muncar. Beyond fisheries, Banyuwangi successfully exported 27 flagship commodities in 2025, including ornamental fish, pumice, processed spices, agricultural products, and handicrafts. The local government continues to strengthen the industrial ecosystem and improve product quality to attract new investments. By fostering a conducive business climate and enhancing infrastructure, Banyuwangi aims to further elevate its position as a key player in the global trade landscape.
