Indonesia’s government continues to strengthen its commitment to scientific advancement and cultural diplomacy as part of national development efforts. During the international Music & Brain public lecture titled “Imaging Imagination: Musical Creativity and the Brain,” Vice Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology Professor Stella Christie emphasized the administration’s strong support for building a robust scientific ecosystem. She highlighted a significant increase in research funding, reflecting the government’s focus on innovation and long-term knowledge development.
She also underscored the strategic role of culture, particularly music, in leadership and international engagement, describing it as a unifying force for society. The annual Music & Brain Public Lecture brings together policymakers, scientists, academics, and the public to explore how musical creativity connects with brain science, reinforcing Indonesia’s vision to integrate science, culture, and diplomacy in advancing inclusive and forward-looking national development.
