Indonesia is strengthening its economic cooperation with China to boost trade, investment, and industrial integration. As two G20 members with large economies, both countries see strong potential in deepening collaboration, especially since China remains Indonesia’s largest trading partner, with bilateral trade reaching USD 135.2 billion in 2024. This partnership is supported by long-standing business cooperation facilitated by the China Chamber of Commerce in Indonesia (CCCI).
A key milestone is the renewal of the Two Countries Twin Parks (TCTP) cooperation agreement, which resulted in 16 joint project commitments worth around USD 2.19 billion across sectors such as manufacturing, food processing, textiles, batteries, and artificial intelligence. Indonesia also welcomes expanded cooperation in infrastructure, renewable energy, digital economy, and human resource development, while continuing reforms to improve its investment climate.
